Pastor at Calvary Nexus, Camarillo, CA
Bruce taught at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa’s School of the Bible, and is a graduate of their School of Ministry. He has been an ordained pastor for over 20 years. Bruce planted Calvary Nexus in Camarillo, Ca. in 1996 and continues to serve as the lead pastor of a multi-site church. Bruce is the author of 12 books. He has previously been a trial attorney, and helps direct the Calvary Church Planting Network [CCPN]. Bruce and Karen have been married since 1991 and are blessed by their sons Joshua and Jonathan. On his days off you are likely to find him riding his single-speed bike.
Senior Pastor of Cross Connection in Escondido, CA
Miles DeBenedictis is the Senior Pastor of Cross Connection Escondido, the church he attended as a child and was discipled for ministry by. After high school Miles briefly attended Calvary Chapel Bible College and later served as a Youth Pastor at CCEsco. Miles was ordained in January of 2002 and continued to serve in Escondido until 2004, when he stepped out to teach with Pastor David Guzik, at the Bible College extension in Siegen, Germany. Returning from Germany in 2005 Miles continued to serve and teach at the main Bible College campus in Murrieta, California; as well as assist at his home church in Escondido. In April of 2008 he stepped into a new role as the Senior Pastor of Cross Connection Escondido, where he continues to serve. Pastor Miles is committed to the equipping of the saints and is passionate about the clear teaching of God’s word, line upon line. Miles, his wife Andrea and their four children (Ethan, Addison, Evangeline & Elliott) live in Escondido, California.
Ed and Kelli Compean love the Lord and in 2003 answered the call to serve Him cross culturally. Ed is currently honored to serve as the lead pastor at Calvary Chapel of Githurai on the northern edge of Nairobi, Kenya. The church has been used to send out two pastors to plant new works. Ed hopes to help develop and send many more Kenyan church planters across Kenya and possibly as missionaries to the unengaged peoples of the world.
Poimen Ministries, Santa Cruz, CA
Bill Holdridge is the Director and Founder of Poimen Ministries, a ministry of pastors helping pastors. He was also the Founding Senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Monterey, and since he stepped out of that church in 2006 he has directly or indirectly transitioned five churches, and provided church assessments and counsel for many others. Bill is married to his very supportive wife, Sheri. Together they have three married children, and nine grandchildren. He is passionate about God’s Word, and is interested in ministry to pastors, discipleship, church planting/mentoring, and revival in the church.
Neil lives in Destin, Fl with his wife Cece and 3 daughters, Lily, Lucy, & Leyla; he is the Lead Pastor of Coastline Destin. Neil has grown in Calvary Chapel ministry for over 30 years as his father John Spencer, founded Coastline Calvary Chapel in Gulf Breeze, Fl in 1983. Neil has his B.A. in Biblical Studies from CCBC in Murrieta, CA & was discipled by Pastor Jon Courson at the PTS in Applegate, OR in 2006. Neil has served on staff at CC Santa Barbara, Coastline Gulf Breeze, & Coastline Destin in the areas of youth, administration, worship, teaching, & pastoral ministry.
Dave has been President of the Radio Division of Salem Communications Corporation, the nation’s largest Christian radio broadcaster, since January 1, 2010. He previously served as Operations Vice President for 14 months. Dave has been in the radio communications broadcast industry for 30 years, and provides leadership in communications, management, and advancement of the gospel message. Dave has worked with several Calvary Chapel ministries in connection with Salem and has been part of Calvary Nexus in Camarillo for several years. He understands and appreciates the core values that make Calvary Chapels a special part of the Body of Christ, and the importance of teaching the Bible to make disciples. He seeks to advance the gospel, the Kingdom and the influence of the Calvary Chapel movement through the Calvary Church Planting Network. Dave and Barbara, his wife of 29 years, and their 13-year-old daughter reside in Camarillo, California. Three other adult children are working professionally or attend colleges in Illinois.
Mike and Sarah Vincent moved down to Rosarito Mexico in 2002 as missionaries with a small team to plant a bilingual church called Calvary Chapel Rosarito. Now ten years into the work, they have witnessed God’s powerful hand at work and the church now ministers to over 1000 people weekly and has had the privilege of raising up and sending out 4 church planters.
Sam is an ordained & licensed minister in the Missionary Church. He serves on the National Board of Directors for the denomination and is the Senior Pastor of The Harbor, a missionary church located in Ventura California. He is the founder and CEO of The Kingdom Centers Ministries. He has led the efforts to develop a new model for reaching the Homeless and at risk woman and children in Ventura County through The Kingdom Centers emergency shelter and transitional living centers. He is leading an effort to bring churches together to fund and resource the center in a new model of unity. Prior to this he was an Associate Pastor and Team Coach at Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village. He has learned how to apply several business principles and ministry principles to build up depleted teams to more effectively reach the un-churched. He is a published author and featured speaker in the area of business travel and faith. His book “Road Warrior” was published by Random House in 2008.
Terry McNabb has served as the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Portland since 1993. He was born and raised in Southern California where he became a Christian as a teenager and was able to witness the beginnings of Calvary Chapel and the Jesus Movement. In the 1980s was involved in music ministry and teaching small groups at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa where he felt called to be a pastor. Terry and his wife Katherine have raised three daughters who are married and continue to serve the Lord in Portland.
Lance is the lead founder and lead pastor at Calvary Chapel Oxnard where he’s served for 33 years. Married to Lynn for 35 years with three adult children and two grandchildren, he is the Author of Marriage As It Was Meant To Be. Lance hosts a popular weekly Church History podcast, Communio Sanctorum: History of the Christian Church.
Delray Beach, FL
Daniel is the lead pastor of Redemption Church Delray Beach in Delray Beach, Florida where he lives with his wife, Laura, and their two children. After being on staff at Calvary Chapel of Olympia for seven years, they moved from Olympia, Washington in 2011 to plant Redemption Church Delray Beach. They have a heart for pointing people to Jesus and making disciples. Daniel is passionate about teaching the Bible, encouraging and investing in other pastors, and seeing people’s lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Gulf Breeze, FL
Pastor John and his wife Lynn followed God’s leading in 1983 to begin Calvary Chapel Gulf Breeze. John is a native of the Pensacola/Gulf Breeze area and has a real heart and connection to the Panhandle Gulf Coast. Pastor John has a BA degree from an Assembly of God Bible College and a Master of Divinity Degree from a Southern Baptist Seminary. Under the ministry of Pastor John, Calvary Chapel Gulf Breeze has grown to not only impact the local area, but has missionaries, church plants and outreaches in many areas outside the United States. Pastor John and Lynn have three children and were married here in Gulf Breeze in 1977.
Pastor Nick received his first Bible in 1969 from his Yiayia (Greek for grandmother), which he still has and treasures. Nick attended the Greek orthodox church when he was a tyke. He then began to attend Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa (where the movement began) and has been part of the Calvary movement since junior high. He married his best friend, Cheryl, in 1990 at…you guessed it Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. Nick has been part of Calvary Nexus since 1998. Nick and Cheryl have two beautiful daughters, Noelle and Alexa, that they’re currently raising. He loves hiking, surf fishing and ham radio and lots of other things too (yikes). His all-time favorite verse is 1 John 5:4 “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith.”
Jacksonville Beach, FL
In 1972, Trip along with his wife, Susan, were called into full-time ministry, and served in various capacities and ministries in the US and overseas since then. He’s planted and pastored a church in southern California in 1978, Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel, and served full-time in the Philippines and South East Asia. Susan and he established Rainbow Village Ministries in 1991, and Trip was the founding director of Calvary Chapel Training Center in 1995. Trip also served with Calvary Chapel of Dumaguete City as an associate pastor and board member. Trip is currently involved with discipleship within a local church body, and travels within the US and overseas to teach and train leaders.
Madison is a gifted administrator who provides assistance to the Calvary Nexus, Calvary Church Planting Network, and Velo Church Leader teams. She is a developing leader who also develops leaders here at Calvary Nexus, through her support of Velo and School of Ministry. She has a heart to serve others and loves to see God’s kingdom advanced. She’s excited to see what God has planned for Velo, Calvary Nexus, and her own life. Her favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 5:15 “…and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them”.
